You might consider ...

1) A network cable running to Wi-Fi Access Point ( for just Wi-Fi ) or Wi-Fi Router ( gives Wi-Fi & network sockets )
2) Power line to Power line + Wi-Fi extenders  ( gives Wi-Fi & network sockets )

Option 1 above is by far the best solution.

I suspect powerlines wont work because that room is "probably" on it own circuit.

Also consider an external wifi transmitter and/or a Mesh system may also do it..  with judicious placement of one of the units - but is a coin toss

We have four Powerline expanders operating over 2 circuits here and all is well.  The catch is a different phase, in 3 Phase systems one needs to span all the phases to be covered but once that is done your are in business.

Powerline extenders are a good low effort buy and try item, order from Amazon or similar where returns are easy if it does not work out.

Me too !  ...   However, the circuits do have to go through the same fuse box/consumer unit.  Normally the upstairs and downstairs power circuits do.  My doubt is that when an electrician puts in a new circuit e.g. to wire up an extension, attic conversion, outbuilding etc., they often do it on a separate new CU - usually if the old one has no "spare spaces".    My garage is wired that way.

So its easy to check where the home office power supply emanates from 🙂

Hopefully the advice of the community with this has been of help to you.

You are of course free to explore any 3rd party options by yourself, but if you need guidance and support surrounding our mesh Wi-Fi POD's you can find more information on these here 👉 Intelligent WiFi | Virgin Media

You can also try running a scan via our Connect app 👉https://virg.in/connectapp in your garden office to see what the signal levels are like, and if a pod would be benificial.

Just let us know if you have questions or need further support just let us know and we will be happy to help! Wishing you all the best. 🌞
