Wifi not detectable but wired connection working fine

We have a hub 3 and have been using wifi and wired connections without any issues. Yesterday we had to disconnect the hub to move some devices, when it restarted the wifi was no longer detectable. We have tried resetting the hub via the pinhole and then restarting the hub again, but still nothing. Devices connected via ethernet cable are working fine.

Grateful for any ideas

Thanks

Re: Wifi not detectable but wired connection working fine

Log into the Hub settings and see if the 2.4 & 5 GHz wifi networks have somehow been ticked as "disabled".

Re: Wifi not detectable but wired connection working fine

A bit mickey mouse I know - but after the pinhole reset the wifi network ssid will have reverted to that on the Hub's base sticker - is that the one that you cannot "see". If you get a modern smartphone and sit down right next to the Hub and look at available networks - do you still not see it - if not what networks are seen

No - I can see our neighbours wifi and also our additional Wifi router at the back of the house which is connected to the hub via ethernet,  but the actual VM wifi is no longer visible.

Re: Wifi not detectable but wired connection working fine

Log back into the hub, make different names for the 2.4GHz and 5GHz SSIDs (you can have the same password) and ensure that WiFi Network name (SSID) broadcast is set to Yes.

Re: Wifi not detectable but wired connection working fine

Hi hholbz52,

Welcome to the forums and thank you for reaching out with your problem. I do apologise for the issues you've been experiencing with your broadband.

I've had a look at the network and your services and it looks like you've already been in touch with another team to set wheels in motion. Please keep us posted regarding your wifi troubles and we can investigate further if the upcoming visit doesn't resolve the issue.

Thanks,

Rachael
