Wifi keeps dropping out every few minutes

Hi there, i was hoping someone might be able to help me.

I've had this problem for about 10 months now, i currently own the 500mbs recently upgraded to the 600mbs Internet connection from virgin media.

Wifi connection throught the house is really good, but unfortunately my Internet keeps dropping every few minutes at random. When using any of the devices around the house and browsing the Internet, out of nowhere I'll stop receiving any data from the router, pages won't load or videos stop streaming etc... even though im still connected to wifi, i get no response from the router. Sometimes disconnecting my device from the wifi and connecting it back again will make it work again but just briefly, it typically ends up not working again after a few minutes.

I've already restarted and reset my modem multiple times throughout the months but no luck, this happens everyday.

I hope someone would be able to help me out here. Thanks!

600GB!? I think you mean Mbps.

That aside your power levels are all over the place and you need an engineer to rectify.

Re: Wifi keeps dropping out every few minutes

Some of the Downstream power levels are below the minimum of -6.   You will need an engineer to sort this out.

Re: Wifi keeps dropping out every few minutes

Hi @Eniorodriig

Welcome to our Community Help Forum 🙂

Thank you for making your first post regarding your WiFi repeatedly dropping out, I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with your internet.

As your Downstream Power Levels are below the minumum requirement, I would like to book an engineer visit for you to get this sorted out for you. I am going to send you a private message now to confirm your address, please look out for the purple envelope in the top right corner and we will get this booked for you.

Best wishes,

Serena
