Wifi issues

I am having non-stop wifi connectivity issues. I get disconnected few times a day and today my wifi has been out all day. I am having to use my phone e data to post this. I have tried everything they have suggested on the site. Currently waiting 45 minutes to speak to someone on the phone.

I need home internet for my job.

What would anyone do in my situation?

Re: Wifi issues

What is your connection like using a direct connection with a Cat 5E or better cable between the Hub and a 1Gbs capable Pc/Mac/Chromebook and no other devices connected ?

Options:

Use an ethernet cable to connect the device to the Hub.

Failing that, get hold of some decent Wi-Fi broadcasting equipment.

The problem you have is that VM do not and never have guaranteed Wi-Fi speed or coverage.

Re: Wifi issues

Hi.

I don't know what the issue is but it keeps happening. Connection disappears completely and I have to press the reset button to get it back which takes about 10 minutes. I am getting very frustrated with it.

I have a Hub3. Could it be that I need a new one?

Re: Wifi issues

Hi.

I don't have a cable connection. My computer is far away from the hub.

I keep having to reset the hub to get connectivity back.

Re: Wifi issues

10-30 meter runs of Cat5e cable are less than a tenner, get some and connect the computer to it - temporarily as a test - then put it in your "bits drawer".

If it disconnects you have a problem only VM can fix.

If it's fine you have a a wifi problem only you can fix.
