Wifi cutting out 3+ times a day.

This has been ongoing for months now; the wifi cuts out intermittently throughout the day. It will take maybe 5-10 minutes to come back of its own accord. If It doesn't come back on, I usually reset the router and that will bring it back.

Re: Wifi cutting out 3+ times a day.

Your graph shows zero drops in connectivity.

Is it just WiFi dropping?

Do wired connections drop as well?

Re: Wifi cutting out 3+ times a day.

I can assure you, those high yellow latency lines are exactly when it has cut out today and the previous days too. I try to recover the connection using the Network troubleshooter and it will usually say there is a problem with the default gateway.

Don't think we have any wired connections in the house (sorry i'm not completely tech literate, i'm assuming you mean anything directly plugged into the router i.e. ethernet connection, TV?).

Re: Wifi cutting out 3+ times a day.

What is your contracted speed ?

What speed do you get at >> speedtest.net << with a direct connection using a Cat 5E/6 cable between the Hub in Router Mode and a 1Gbs capable Pc/Mac/Chromebook and no other devices connected ?

Re: Wifi cutting out 3+ times a day.

Contracted for 200Mbps.

Getting 7ping, 213download, 21upload on ethernet connection to PC in router mode.

Done on wifi connection too and getting similar results.

Re: Wifi cutting out 3+ times a day.

Drops would be seen as red lines/bars.
Yellow spikes mean latency.

Re: Wifi cutting out 3+ times a day.

I understand, i've been wondering why there are no red lines myself. I've checked the graph each time it has cut out and the only anomaly that links with the wifi cutting out seems to be the high yellow latency lines.

Re: Wifi cutting out 3+ times a day.

We need to ascertain if wired devices also drop and if the lights on the hub change at the time of any drops.
