Wifi booster Heat issues

Hello I have recently installed your Wifi boosters and when in use they are running very hot to touch, the back of them generates massive amount of heat. Bit concerned they may cause a fire. Is this a design fault with them that is known about or are they faulty?

Re: Wifi booster Heat issues

Hi dukedog,

Thanks for posting and welcome to our community 🙂

This definitely shouldn't be happening, are they still over-heating since posting?

Re: Wifi booster Heat issues

Thanks for reply, yes still running hot, especially the larger wifi booster which is very hot at top or rear,I have moved it to a well ventilated open plug socket. I would say its running about 60-65c + .....be ideal in the winter, save having to put the heating on!!!

Re: Wifi booster Heat issues

Think this is a design fault as replacements arrived and installed and running just as hot so keeping unit as exposed as possible with maximum airflow and near a smoke alarm just in case!!!

Re: Wifi booster Heat issues

Hello paulgray

We're currently experiencing stock shortages with the Pod's, as soon as they become available again we'll let you know. If you're feeling uneasy about the current Pod and how hot it gets we'd recommend stopping using it, if you do keep using it please ensure it is as well ventilated as possible.
