WiFi problems

We’ve been having problems with our WiFi for quite a while, connection is intermittent, speeds are up and down. We have problems trying to watch movies/YouTube/gaming. Partner is working from home which has been affected at times with speeds of under 1mbs when our package is 500. Diagnostic test says “Your home network has a few problems. Checked the router status and this was the report ... if anyone could give some advice or help that would be appreciated! Thank you

Your singals are in spec, but there is a large diffrence between 139mhz and 323mhz. I supsect when you get up to 715mhz for tv they will be well into the negatives. Is your TV pictures okay?

Wired speeds at the moment are 378.8 but it can change in an instant

Picture is okay at the moment but last week we had to run videos in 360p, couldn’t do 1080 or 4K at all and sometimes the films just wouldn’t load. It fluctuates constantly and gaming online tends to be jittery also.

Can you set up a Broadband Quality Monitor (BQM) at thinkbroadband.com - this will give you an insight into what is happening with the signal at the other side of the Hub, it will take a few hours to get any kind of trend showing although you should post the link straight away.

Post a 'Live Link' to your BQM on here.

Instructions for posting BQM Link

Under your BQM graph are two links in red.

Click the lower link (Share Live Graph) then click generate.

Copy the text in the Direct Link box, beware, there may be more text than you can see.

On here click the Link icon (2 links chain to the left of the camera icon)

In the URL box paste the link you copied and in the ‘text to display’ box write My BQM then click OK - you can post the link straight away.
