Can someone please assist, upgraded my services from M350 to M500, soon after this upgrade I started having problems with the WiFi on my super hub 3, dropping signals and slow speeds, I have two TiVo boxes one connected via Ethernet and the other via WiFi, been working like this for 4 years without issues, now the one connected via WiFi 2.4 will not connect to my 2.4 WiFi, it tells me I have no signal, but when I do network test it’s saying connected and 75% signal Quality, non of my home smart equipment will sync with apple HomeKit, my sons PS4 goes online via 2.4 but will not update or download updates, he can play online and he’s not a avid gamer, I have 2.4 and 5.0 split, called technical they diagnosed it as WiFi hardware failure and sent me new hub3 for self install, installed no different, called technical again, 3 hours for each call time before any joy, to be told they’re is no issue and the best I’m going to get out of super hub3 WiFi is 50mbps, for the last 4 years I’ve been getting 100-150mbps without fail, insisted on speaking to manager, was refused and told best we can do is send engineer out, engineer came out and swapped out the super hub3 again and toddled off, no improvement what so ever, I am drained and fed up with virgins lack of support, any one shed some light on this, I get better speeds from my virgin mobile 4g network, and by the way the main issue is only with WiFi, hard wired is no issue.

Re: WiFi issues super hub 3

First my aging eyes cannot read any data in the screenshots - better to copy and paste as formatted text.

Have you got the 2.4.5GHz bands separated on the new Hub - and have you disabled "channel optimisation"?

As you say ethernet is fine - it is just a wifi issue then? Do you qualify for Free VM boosters - if so they are worth a go - if they will charge you £3/mo - you would be better sourcing your own better quality wireless equipment

Re: WiFi issues super hub 3

Hi, my bad I will copy and paste when I get back home, 2.4 & 5ghz are both separated, channel optimisation is enabled as default. I already have the VM boosters, I forgot to mention the VM boosters let me online, but they prevent me picking up windows updates for my laptop, the booster is wired to PS4 as well but agains lets my son play online, but will not update games or download games.

VM technical just cut me off after transferring me to their gadgets tech dept, gadget tech dept transfer me back to technical.

Re: WiFi issues super hub 3

Dont use gadget rescue - you will get better help from peeps on here.

Try "disabling" channel optimisation then - its constant hopping between 2.4 channels can "confuse" some devices. You should try using a wifi analyser App to check which 2.4 channels are being heavily used around you and move yours "permanently" to one of channels numbered 1,6,11 that is least in use around you.

Worth adding that my wifi connected V6's perform much better and are far more stable since I connected them "permanently" to my 5GHz network

If its solid wifi coverage you are after - and wired is all fine - you should consider ditching the Hub & booster wifi and using your own better quality equipment.
