How embarrassing, whenever we have visitors I let them have the details to use our WiFi. I found out that after trying to use it they all give up and used their mobile as it is faster. My Super hub is no longer super my guaranteed fast broadband is naff. Of course if I complain all I get is we can upgrade you for an extra xxx but I'm already paying virgin an extortionate amount. Time to move, anybody know of a better provider?
Is it just visitors with problems or do your wifi devices struggle too? How do any devices connected by ethernet cable, behave? Try and sort your wifi first before leaving. So.... What SuperHub do you have - SH1, SH2, SH2ac (printed on its "sticker") - or is it actually a (not Super) Hub3 ? Depending on that we can make some suggestions.

In what sense better? For most people, VM offer the best available speeds with little or no competition. Better customer service, better router, lowest cost, more bundled content....
Some smaller ISPs offer much better customer service (search ISP Review). BT's Complete Wifi is much better than most ISP issued routers. Lowest cost is usually a heavily discounted offer from Now/Sky or Talktalk (although with big rises when out of contract), but deals vary daily.
No single provider offers great service, a class-leading router, all for cheaper than anyone else, so you'll need to decide what matters most, and what you'd compromise on.
