WiFi drops out several times an hour

For months now WiFi keeps dropping several times an hour.

Have had a replacement router, but still happening. Hub 3. Have checked cables, restarted router, reset router and no change.

I can see there are errors on the log as follows

Re: WiFi drops out several times an hour

can you post the Upstream and Downstream contents too!

Also, set up a 'Broadband Quality Monitor'. This will monitor the state of your connection and record any network dropouts etc - You can do this at ThinkBroadband (https://www.thinkbroadband.com/broadband/monitoring/quality)

Re: WiFi drops out several times an hour

Hmmm - They don't look bad to be honest - Downstream power a little high!

WHat happens to any ethernet connected devices when WiFi drops?

Re: WiFi drops out several times an hour

Sorry should have said, the sky box which is ethernet connection also loses access. Not strictly a WiFi issue but as you can imagine we notice it mostly due to loss of connection on phones, tablets and laptops etc

Re: WiFi drops out several times an hour

I think that does point to a problem between cab and property!

VM Staff should see this and respond!

Re: WiFi drops out several times an hour

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I'll wait for VM staff to pick up on this. Thanks for your replies

Re: WiFi drops out several times an hour

Whilst waiting, can you test the connection on one of the laptops connected directly into the Hub by ethernet cable and see if that remains stably connected when the wifi ones drop out.

What are the various Hub lights showing/doing at the time of the drops.

If they are true network drop outs they will be obvious in the BQM - post up the link asap.

Re: WiFi drops out several times an hour

John,

I was actually wrong earlier in that the sky box does remain connected during a dropout. That's the only ethernet connection. Unfortunately my laptop doesn't have an ethernet port so can't connect that. So it does look like WiFi only issue. When it happens the WiFi light on router flashes, then stops then flashes a few mins to 5 mins later before it reconnects
