WiFi booster pods

I've just joined virgin on M125, but the WiFi signal doesn't reach my kitchen. I've used the connect app to scan which says where I do get connection (in the doorway) the signal is poor and need a booster. Then directs me to sign up for max for £8/month to get a pod. Is there no way to get a pod without signing up to the extra £8/month?

Re: WiFi booster pods

Hi @BrezzoK

They are free if you are on the Gig1 package, or Ultimate Oomph, or on a Volt bundle, however if you are on any other package then they are £8  a month.

Do you have a sim with O2? If not it's worthwhile considering getting one.

The Volt bundles (that's broadband from VM and an O2 sim) would mean you get the wifi max and up to three pods for free.

You would also get double data on your O2 sim and double the speed on your VM broadband unless you are already on the highest available speed at your location.

Re: WiFi booster pods

Ah right, I'm on EE for my mobile, I'll just buy a WiFi extender from elsewhere then. Thanks.
