Re: WiFi Booster Not Working

Hi Phil,

ever since we got the WiFi booster there and installed them there has been two options for my WiFi:

VM4319018 which is the hun - this is the only one that I can now get

VMP9503381 which is the WiFi booster - can’t find this anywhere in the WiFi search

Re: WiFi Booster Not Working

Hi,

When you went through the set up instructions again did you clone the network? ( The bit where you press the wps button on your hub and booster).

If you did then you will only have the 1 network showing now as the boosters will be set to the same as your hub.

Thanks
Harry

Re: WiFi Booster Not Working

Thanks Harry, this has cleared up why I can’t see it on the WiFi list.

so I have relocated the booster to where it was previously up stairs in my house and the WiFi signal is good, however the internet speed is very, very poor. Sitting next to the hub downstairs and running an internet speed test I am getting approx 130 mbps.

standing next to the WiFi booster up stairs I have run the same test, I have now done this 3 times over the last 3 hours and at best I can get 10.4 mbps speed.

what can we do now ?

Re: WiFi Booster Not Working

The easiest way to get it back to having the 2 networks is to do a factory reset on the boosters again.

Follow the 1st steps to get them paired but ignore the part with WPS.

Thanks

Re: WiFi Booster Not Working

10.4Mbps is about right for a powerline booster connecting on the 2.4Ghz band.

Well it’s right for the Virgin ones anyway as they're not great.

Dont expect lightning fast speeds with them.

Re: WiFi Booster Not Working

What “identical problem”?

Starting your own thread with your own information in would be beneficial.
