Wi-Fi health rating on VM connect app

MagpieSupernova
On our wavelength

Please can someone explain to me how when having hub speed of 530 Mbs and doing a scan on the VM connect app for Wi-Fi coverage, it rates 20Mbs as “Great”. I would say 4% throughput is not “Great”.

I have a WI-FI pod as the nearest connection. I was kind of expecting it might suggest another pod.

Whilst I agree 20 Mbps is poor, that's the rule VM apply.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to research what impedes wifi signals, and then move the obstacles such that the speed improves.  Or perhaps through some creativity unimproves sufficient to be below the trigger value.  If you or any member of your household are caught holding sheets of tinfoil near your phone, Andrew-G will disavow any knowledge of your actions.  This post will self destruct in five seconds...fzzzt.  See, it's gone now.

MagpieSupernova 👋 welcome back to the community! Thank you for posting, and bringing your Wi-Fi speed issues to our attention.

It is true to say if you have our Wi-Fi Max service we guarantee a minimum of 20mbps in each room  👉 WiFi Max WiFi Speed Guarantee. If you are dropping below 20mpbs in any room of your home the connect app should pick up on this and offer you additional pods if needed! Have you used the connect app to run a full scan on your home - particularly in the area you are experiencing issues? 👉 https://virg.in/connectapp.

There are also some troubleshooting steps you can try for speeds here 👉 https://virg.in/SpeedUp and Wi-Fi here 👉  https://virg.in/wifisos.

Please let us know if these troubleshooting steps help and if you need further support following another scan via the connect app! We will then do our best to offer further support!

All the best 🌞
