Did a factory reset.

My Superhub 3.0 Wi-fi networks are Open, despite having a password and security switched on.

Used to work just fine, so I'm wondering if the Superhub is faulty?

Ethernet connection is fine, but Wi-fi will not give me anything but an Open network.

Any help with this, given total lack of access to tech support these days, greatly appreciated!

where is it being reported as being "open?
what is the SSID of the network that is showing as being open?

For better security get your own wireless router with 1Gb ports and use the hub in modem mode.

SSID is VM5045573_2

Used to work perfectly, I had 2G, 5G, Guest all active, with security intact and working.

Then I noticed a strange issue - my Wi-fi networks became open, pretty much out of nowhere.

So, did a full reset, and now I can't seem to get my Wi-fi networks to be correctly password protected.

I've entered passwords and set security options as normal, but they remain 'Open'.

Do you have any wifi boosters or powerline adaptors also broadcasting wifi?

I live in a weirdly shaped basement flat so yes, I do!

Horrible tp-link things, but the best I could do to get Wi-fi in each room.

Do you think that might be related?

They are both unplugged right now.

Unplug them and reboot the hub.

Does the SSID now show as secured?

Unfortunately not, still the same.

They remain 'Open'. : (

When you say you reset the hub, did you do a 60 second pinhole reset?
