Web Safe has broken eBay

Currently unable to browse eBay on PC - seems to be an issue with Web Safe.

Link to DownDetector - suggestion is to disable Web Safe.

https://downdetector.co.uk/status/ebay/

Whitelisting eBay in Web Safe settings partially fixes the issue but site still borked

Re: Web Safe has broken eBay

I have the same issue on my Windows PC with Chrome, Firefox, IE and Edge since yesterday.

BS37 area - when Web Safe is turned off it works fine for both PC and mobile on WiFi and Mobile data.  But when turned on I get the text based version (after the front page) when Web Safe is turned on for Virgin Wifi!!

Re: Web Safe has broken eBay

Adding "ebaystatic.com" to your list of allowed websites should fix the problem, but heaven knows why Virgin decided to break ebay for all their users.

Re: Web Safe has broken eBay

I experienced the same issues on all of my devices both pcs, ipads and iphone when connected to the web.  Iphone was ok via 4g.

I turned off "Child safe" and that has allowed me to get back onto ebay.

I will try entering the ebaystatic.com as allowed site .

I am in the Dudley area but I note from the downloaddetector site that this problem has affected other users throughout the country.

Lucks

Re: Web Safe has broken eBay

Hi All,

Sorry to those who are unable access Ebay at the moment.

Please can you load up www.ebay.co.uk and at the bottom of the page you should see the option to opt out of Ebay collecting personal details, once you have selected this it should load the page up.

Please let me know if this doesn't resolve the problem.

Regards,
