Was there scheduled downtime for the early hours of this morning?

My Internet cut off around 3am and the router reset by itself and service resumed as normal shortly after that but the status page on the virgin media app says there's a known issue in the area that will be fixed at five past 8 this morning despite me using my ps4 without issue as we speak. Some on social media claim there was a update through the night that virgin only told specific people about. Any ideas if this is the case?

Hello

Could have been one of two reasons that it went down, first of all would have been a network re-segmentation or what more than likely is that the fault was fixed early.

If you hang around a VM forum staff member will pick up the thread and do further investigation may take a few days.

my BQM shows a brief blip at around 2:30am so it was probably a network wide thing rather than anything to do with a specific local fault.
