WIfi is terrible - even with boosters

I have had VM BB installed now for just over a week and its shocking. THe hub 3 is situated in the front room just like the BT router befotre it.

Very quickly i realised that unless i was in the rooms that joined the front room the signal was weak and i was unable to use the wifi - on a multitude of devices.

So I downloaded the connect app and sure enough it advised a booster (at an additional cost for the poor service - really!??!!!)

Booster purchased. Set up and installed. Works for about an hour - still doesn't get the signal to all rooms and drops out every 2-3 hours so i have to switch the booster on and off and resync it.

Any advise? I have followed all the advice online and nothing has worked. Typically the rooms I still have intermittent or no signal are the office and the daughters bedroom - probably the 2 most heavily used WIFI rooms.

Re: WIfi is terrible - even with boosters

Welcome to the Trials & Tribulations of Wi-Fi

The problem with Wi-Fi is that it can be brilliant at breakfast time and useless by lunchtime and you haven't changed anything, BUT, something, somewhere has changed, then you can spend hours and even days trying to find a fix for something that can be totally out of your control.

If you remove all the internal walls, electronic and electrical devices, metallic pipes and conduits and wrap the whole building in a thick lead shield you will have a good chance of getting decent Wi-Fi from a VM Hub.

Many people have accepted that the VM Wi-Fi is poor and have purchased third party equipment that is much, much more powerful than the VM supplied kit and once set up have wondered why they waited for so long.
