Virgin media DOCSIS 3.1

According to ISPreview. https://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2020/11/virgin-media-parent-eyes-future-10gbps-and-docsis-4-up... Virgin media are upgrading their network to DOCSIS 4.0 which is a lot faster by increasing download speed to 10gpbs and upload to 6gbps. Will this new DOCSIS fix over-utilisation as probably the only thing they need to do is replace equipment that can support DOCSIS 4.0 along customer  super hubs.

Re: Virgin media DOCSIS 3.1

Read it carefully, this is right at the end:

Suffice to say that we can’t see D4.0 happening in the UK for a good few years’ yet”

Re: Virgin media DOCSIS 3.1

Well then guess over-utilization won't be fixed soon. I guess it would be better to use the Openreach network instead and I'm planning to move houses anyway.
