Virgin media connect app is not working yet again. I have a computer paused and cannot do anything to unpause it as it continually says optimise wifi which I have done I don’t know how many times, so i deleted the app and reinstalled it and now it says it can’t find the hub 4.

Disable MAC filtering to re-enable Paused devices

Login to the Hub's menus at http://192.168.0.1

1) Advanced settings >>> Wireless >>> Security

1.1) then set Wireless MAC Filtering to Disabled

   1.2) "Apply changes"

2) Advanced settings >>> Security >>> MAC Filtering

2.1) then delete all entries in the MAC filter list

    2.2 Enable Always on

   2.3) "Apply changes"

We uninstalled the VM Connect app years ago and not missed it for a second.

The VM Connect app is notorious for its ability to failed to list all paused devices.  Fortunately it is also possible to manage the paused devices via the Hub's menus. The steps below are based on our Hub 3, you may have to adapt a little for the Hub 4 but the concept is going to be the same.

Once you have expunged Pausing  / MAC Filtering from your Hub - leave it that way !!!

Thank you for your help, this has resolved my problem. I will definitely be removing this app and will never be using it again, I wouldn’t even mind I rang Virgin Media with the issue and they basically said there is nothing they can do, surely any tech person should know this can be done via the hub.
