VM with HUB5 blocking DNS

Im having issues with a DNS lookup that responds back with a local host address

So my query looks up a dns address. the DNS entry (A record) is configured with the IP Address 127.0.0.1

If I lookup address using any over ISP I get a response, if I use VM with a Hub5 I get a failed response

Is Hub5 / VM doing any security blocking

What is the name you are looking up? Is child safe/web safe turned off?

There are 10 types of people: those who understand binary and those who don't and F people out of 10 who do not understand hexadecimal c1a2a285948293859940d9a49385a2

It’s just a simple dns lookup. That should resolve to a local host ip 127.0.0.1. There is no external web site associated with this address

Hub 5 in Router mode does appear to intercept all DNS queries ( and block / time out some ) even when a public DNS is specified.

In Modem mode the Hub 5 has not been reported to intercept DNS queries.

Is there any other way to resolve this as I can’t tell hundreds of users to put there hub5 into modem mode and go buy a new router
