VM WiFi - residential Vs tube

My issue is that the VM WiFi used on the London tube (and any other public provision areas) has the same ssid as the residential sharing. So if I let my phone auto connect to this where I'll find it useful (like on the tube), then it also keeps trying to auto connect to residential VM WiFi when I'm walking down the street. I'm never standing around in one place for long enough, so this essentially has the effect of cutting my connection off! It would be much better if there was a difference in the network name so I could continue to use 4g/5g when I'm out and about!

In the Underground I connect to the "Virgin Media WiFi" SSID, and I thought that the hotspots were "Virgin Media". I've never used the Virgin Media Connect app.

Turn WiFi OFF, when in the street, that will solve it.
