VM Rep Requested - Would like to turn off WiFi Hotspot Sharing

I am unable to disable WiFi Hotspot Sharing, there's no option on my superhub, no option in the virgin media connect app, and when I login to 'my virgin media' via the web page, it starts to load up the page and then states:

"Oops, looks like something's gone wrong on our side.

Please try again" 
And I am unable to opt out.
I never opted in, and I never opted in when I registered to Virgin Media years ago, I have always opted out.

Sorry to see you're facing an issue with switching off your Wi Fi Hotspot due to this error on the page, we'd love to best help with this.

Please, visit this link here for more info on our Wi Fi hotspots.

Can we ask if you've checked the status over the VM Connect App and if this shows that you're opted in for Wi Fi hotspots currently?
Are you able to opt out successfully over the Connect App, perhaps?

Let us know and we're here to assist further where needed.

I'm pretty sure the OP states "no option in the virgin media connect app," but then maybe the forum redesign presents posts differently to different people...

It shows I'm opted in.

No, that option is not there. Nor is it in my account.

The link works a charm for us.
I'm surprised VM make it hard to disable a service they are soon to scrap.

Try accessing your account in private /incognito mode and then accessing account settings and wifi hotspots.

Makes no difference. Nor does using a different browser, operating system or device. It's a server side issued error.

Hi stanto, 

Very sorry to hear you are having issues accessing the link. 

We have checked this from our side and on different browsers and it does appear to be working at the moment.

Can you please try clearing Cache and Cookies on your browser before trying again?
