Hey MikeRobbo,

I can see that an engineer would be needed to fix this for you, I need to send over a PM to pass account security, then we can get the engineer visit booked for you.

Regards

Steven_L

Well, I got a call from the engineer just before 08:00 saying that she was at the street cabinet checking things out and changing the 'Tap' for my broadband & TV.

That done she came to the house and had a general check of the indoor circuit, she changed the 2 indoor splitters and put new end fittings on the cables. She then did noise checks from the Hub3 to the street cabinet and said it was very noisy. She then checked from the first splitter on the indoor circuit back to the cabinet with the the same very noisy result.

Next was outside to the T (triangle box in the pavement), she lifted the little cover and the hole looked be blocked solid with dirt but it actually turned out to be a lump of silicone sealant the size of a tennis ball, once that was out of the way it was evident that the cable had been repaired inside the box.

A re-pull has been arranged for sometime on Monday. I am happy that a tangible problem has been found and hopefully once the new cable from the cabinet has fitted the problems will be gone.

Well done Victoria.

@Steven_L

It is now over a week since the new cable from the street cabinet to the house was scheduled and nothing has happened.

I have to reboot the Hub 3 on a frequent basis.

Re: Upstream Channels

Good Evening MikeRobbo,

Thanks for coming back to us and I'm terribly sorry to see that you've been having continued issues with your broadband connection.

Are you still in contact with the engineer at all?

If not, please come back to me and I'll seek to raise this with the the area field manager to have the re-pull actioned.

Kindest regards,

David_Bn

Hi David

thanks for the response.

No I am not in touch with the engineer, as far as I am concerned she has handed the job over to her manager to give to another team..

Just spoken to BT, they can have broadband up and running in 14 days from giving the go ahead.

VM, you have until 17:00 on Monday 22 June 2020 to tell me what is happening or I'm quitting.
