Upstream Channel Keeps Changing

I have noticed that the Upstream Channel number keeps changing - straight after a hub reboot it is a round number, just like the downstream channel, but the shortly after the upstream channel number seems to wander up and down:

ooh err!  That's a new one on me.  My Superhub 2ac certainly doesn't do that.  Maybe a reporting bug in the firmware?

My ranged upstream channel also varies throughout the day, starting off after a reboot as a round number and tending to vary to the same values, right now it's 39400059 Hz.

If it's not causing any upstream issues I guess it's worth ignoring?

It is just VM's CMTS fine tuning the upstream frequency through the DOCSIS Station Maintenance Ranging Response messages that the CMTS sends the Hub every 30secs in response to the Hub's Ranging request message.

Nothing to worry about.

OK thanks for the reassurance.

I raised the issue as I've never noticed it before, only after the .610 firmware, I was just curious as to why this should have started happening.

Everything seems to be working fine, thanks again.
