Re: Unable to access https://www.evanscycles.com/

Can you do an nslookup on www.evanscycles.com please.

Here's what I get from my mums BT connection - although I do expect a different result from you.

C:\Users\timdu_000>nslookup www.evanscycles.com 192.168.1.254
Server:  bthub
Address:  192.168.1.254

Non-authoritative answer:
Name:    sni.ssl.evanscycles.com.c.footprint.net
Addresses:  62.6.232.130
          62.6.232.229
          62.6.232.134
Aliases:  www.evanscycles.com

@sjforster would you also do the same?

Tim

Edit - don't add the 192.168.1.254 to the end of the nslookup command.  I did this for a specific reason as I actually have my own recursive DNS server on my PC - but I wanted the results from BT's DNS servers.  Here's what my own recursive server gives.

C:\Users\timdu_000>nslookup www.evanscycles.com
Server:  localhost
Address:  ::1

Non-authoritative answer:
Name:    sni.ssl.evanscycles.com.c.footprint.net
Addresses:  62.6.232.130
          8.247.189.250
          81.150.20.128
Aliases:  www.evanscycles.com

Re: Unable to access https://www.evanscycles.com/

@Lucy_B

Can you pass this back to networks?

We now have @sjforster and @DJ_Shadow1966 both getting 8.241.5.122 returned as an IP for www.evanscycles.com from your DNS servers.as well as others

@DJ_Shadow1966 - Also confirms that he cannot access www.evanscycles.com  So networks needs to look at what's happening from the gateway.

Tim

Editted as I should have read the previous post more carefully.

Re: Unable to access https://www.evanscycles.com/

Hello Tim

Yep just timeouts now I do remember earlier on in the thread it did work for me, my PFSense box has a cache DNS to both OpenDNS and Google it is certainly a strange one. I would be so interested what the cause is.

This bugged me as it could be a failed propergation as even googles DNS show the wrong items.

Re: Unable to access https://www.evanscycles.com/

That site doesn't appear to be trustworthy as a checking source.

https://www.gdnspc.com/dns-propagation-checker/uk.html#A&google.com

You get the same issues with a lookup to Google.com and I've also tried my VPS DNS lookup.
