TV box and WiFi networks

Hi,

We had the TV box connected to WiFi and Hub3 as router mode.

We connected tplink deco M5 as router mode, changed Hub3 to modem mode, light changed to magenta.

WiFi is working on all the devices in our house that connect directly to deco router.

However, the TV box now can not find the WiFi network.

What is wrong?

Thanks

Re: TV box and WiFi networks

Have you connected it to the new network name and password?

Re: TV box and WiFi networks

I can't.

The TV box is not showing the new network in its search results. And when I insert the details manually, it can not connect...

Re: TV box and WiFi networks

Is there an option to reset the network settings on the TiVo?

Have you rebooted the TiVo?

Can you connect it via Ethernet instead?

Re: TV box and WiFi networks

Hi,

I tried turning off/on the TiVo box. Didn't help.

Ethernet is not an option, as the box is far away from the router.

It was connected to the Hub3 when it was on router mode...

How can I reset the network settings on the TiVo box?

Thanks

Re: TV box and WiFi networks

Hi machulsky,

Thank you for your post. I'm very sorry to hear about the issue you're having.

Just to confirm does the TV box connect to the hub 3 when the WiFi was active?

Re: TV box and WiFi networks

When Hub3 was in router mode, the TiVo could find its WiFi in the search and connect to it.

Once we changed the Hub3 to modem mode (and deco M5 to router), the TiVo could not find the network or manually connect to it....

Re: TV box and WiFi networks

Okay, are any other devices having issues connecting to the 3rd party hub?

Re: TV box and WiFi networks

Okay, would you be able to power off the TiVo box, unplug the cables from the box, leave them out for a couple of minutes. Then can you put the cables back in securing they are all in tightly and re-power the box on. Once this is done can you try to connect to the 3rd party hub.
