I'm confused - why is an engineer coming as well as a new hub being delivered (later) ? I'm not certain but the engineer may have a replacement hub with them to get you up and running? I can't think of any way you'll get a new modem, to activate on the line, any quicker. Others may know some other way?

I know a bit about Wi-Fi, Telecoms, and TV as I used to do it for a living but I'm not perfect so don't beat me up... If you make things you make mistakes!
