Hey guys. VM recently sent me a Superhub 5 to replace my Superhub 4. I've got a Netgear R7800 with openwrt on it and have been running it for a few years now. Since the R7800 is fairly old at this point, would it be beneficial for speed and ping to switch to the Superhub 5 instead?
As you have a Hub 5 + Router working well in modem mode, keep it that way. Be far less concerned about speed loss than opening the door to the Hub 5 in Router mode and suffering its known issues with Wi-Fi / DHCP / DNS & Port Forwarding.
