Re: Superhub 3 Wifi Issues - please help

If you are on, say, VIVID 200, then you should get 200mbps down and 12mbps up. If you don't get those speeds or good reliability then you are entitled to complain. However, if you have a household of many people with 60 devices you cannot expect the hub to cope with this.

Yes I understand this , I have Vivid 350.. what I mean is what speeds is that person getting wirelessly with that particular router he is now using.

Re: Superhub 3 Wifi Issues - please help

Wireless speeds vary hugely for many reasons and no ISP guarantees their speeds. When I do a WiFi scan I find only my neighbour's Sky SSID, some other people find dozens of SSIDs.

Re: Superhub 3 Wifi Issues - please help

I've posted in another thread about wifi issues but after doing a fair bit of reading have decided to go down the modem/router option.

Is this one still considered a decent option?

Re: Superhub 3 Wifi Issues - please help

First of all a basic check: what speeds do you get with a wired connection to your hub using speedtest.net?

Re: Superhub 3 Wifi Issues - please help

Speeds seem decent. 450mb last time I checked. Wireless is just so inconsistent, virgin sent me boosters but made the problems worse

Re: Superhub 3 Wifi Issues - please help

You've got full download and upload speeds on wired and slower download on wireless which isn't surprising. Boosters (powerline adapters) won't help if the house's wiring isn't suitable so send them back if you are paying for them.

Re: Superhub 3 Wifi Issues - please help

Fortunately not paying for the boosters as the engineer ordered them for me.

I'm looking at seperate wirless access points and using the hub in modem mode. As per the original query is the one in this thread still regarded as a go to for significantly improved wifi?
