Superhub 3 New Firmware Faulty

Greenpalmer
Dialled in

Hi, my superhub 3 was updated to firmware version 9.1.2109.200 on the night of 14th Feb and since then the function to list connected devices is not working - it only lists one connected device while there are many more than that connected to the hub.

With the previous firmware - 9.1.1912.304 - all connected devices were listed correctly.

Seems every firmware upgrade introduces some new bug, on a one fixed, one new one rule.  If this is reproduceable (and remains after a pinhole reset) it'll be added to the list of issues for a future firmware release, but don't expect a fix anytime soon.

Of course, this is another good reason to provide your own router or mesh system: No changes to wifi settings randomly rolled out by VM, and no unasked for firmware installs that introduce unasked for features or new bugs.  All in addition to a competent, purpose designed router with better wifi than the pound shop hub offers.

Any news or response on this issue?

Welcome to the world of VM bugs

VM should drop this feature then it be one less bug

Mostly VM do not admit to firmware bugs let alone give a date for them to be fixed. Don’t hold your breath. It’s a waste of time and effort asking them about issues.

You would have thought they would welcome people reporting issues with their systems so they can fix them.

I worked in financial systems development for many years and we greatly welcomed fault and error reports from users, which we did our best to fix in the next release.
