Smoking Wi-Fi booster and now dead

My VM power line Wi-fi booster suddenly decided to start smoking the other week, luckily I was home and it got disconnected from the mains before it caught fire.

I have since returned home and the booster is now dead, no lights (or smoke now!) so I presume it has died.

I have tried using the online chat bot a few times with no success as the bot decides that local engineering work is the reason why it has failed…..

can someone from VM get in touch to sort a replacement please?

it is a PG9072LG-VM unit.

Re: Smoking Wi-Fi booster and now dead

Same socket??

You may want to get it checked if it has killed 2 boosters...

Hi @Only12months,

Welcome to our Community Forums and thanks for posting.

I am so sorry to hear this. I can certainly look into getting a replacement ordered for you.

Will pop you a PM now so we can clear security.

Thanks

Re: Smoking Wi-Fi booster and now dead

I apologise - I was thinking of another person!

I also thought you'd had a replacement as you mentioned you'd plugged one back in - I hadn't computed that you'd plugged a previously smoking booster back in!
