SmartDNS Issue

Hi

Hoping that someone can help.

I've setup the Hub 3 in modem mode and have a Nighthawk X4S running the latest DD WRT beta. The router DNS and DNSMasq is configured to point to the Keepsolid SmartDNS service. The SmartDNS allows the viewing of Netflix USA and various other streaming sites in different countries rather than it being limited to UK.

Unfortunately the SmartDNS service isn't working. I've worked with the SmartDNS support and they have said that a transparent proxy is being used and stops the service from working. Are Virgin Media using a transparent proxy at all? If so, is there a workaround?

Hub 5 in Router mode is known to tamper with DNS requests.

If you try a DNS Leak Test can you see which DNS is in use it might give a clue.

All seems good on a DNS leak test. It's not picking up any other DNS servers except the ones specified. Will try some extended tests as well. Hopefulyl will show something wrong. Can't see anything from the HUB 3.inteferring.
