Smart light not connecting to Hub 4

I've just received my hub 4. The switch from Hub 3 to Hub 4 was fairly swift and most smart devices connected to the wifi at 2.4 GHz. However I have a set of smart led strip lights that just wouldn't connect. I have followed various suggestions on this forum i.e., set up a separate 2.4Hz wifi, manually set the channel to 11 instead of auto, played around with the "wireless mode" and "channel width" settings, still no luck. When I use a 4G hotspot instead of Wifi, the lights connect fine, but when I use wifi, the app just wouldn't recognise the lights.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for the post Maradnus and welcome to our community.

 

Have you managed to find a fix for this since your post? 

 

If you're still having some trouble it may be worth contacting the maker of the lights who may know of a fix as we're not trained in these. Are they connected through WPS?
