Slight Slow Down in Speeds?

My speeds (all done wired to my Hub 3) over the past few days seem to have slowed somewhat :

What's the difference between the 'Down HTTPx6' test and the 'Down HTTPx1' (which are the ones which have slowed slightly) tests ??

Re: Slight Slow Down in Speeds?

multi-threaded and single-threaded

don't treat speedtest results as gospel, your results all lookin within normal range.

Ok, thanks - is there any reason why the single thread would be showing a speed slow down (when the multi thread is not) ?

Re: Slight Slow Down in Speeds?

many google search results give explanations for this
here is one that gives a couple of possible reasons https://superuser.com/questions/261663/why-is-multi-thread-downloading-faster-than-single-thread

also, single thread issues can often be down the the local system you are running the test on.

Re: Slight Slow Down in Speeds?

VM likely use for the downstream a QoS like SFQ so when each thread is QoS evenly when many are downloading in your area it bring the single thread speed down.
