Sky Q with Virgin Broadband Query

Hi

Current setup - Sky Q 2TB box, 1 mini (will get rid of this), 70Mb Sky Fibre

Want to add a Wi-Fi 6 Mesh like a Asus AX ZenWiFi as Sky Wifi is terrible, been putting this off but want to do now and know I'll run into trouble with double NAT etc on Sky as can't switch to modem only mode.

So thinking of switching to Virgin 350Mb broadband only but keeping Sky Q main box.

Assuming no one says don't - Virgin BB is terrible (son games a lot, we just watch films/netflix etc).

Wanted to check best setup before pulling trigger on a few orders - does anyone else have similar and all stable.

Virgin Superfast to modem only mode and turn Wi-Fi off

Sky Q box ethernet cable to Virgin box

Asus AX cabled to Virgin box, presume can then use Asus in normal mode and make use of all its features rather than just in AP mode?

Rest of wireless kit will just connect to Asus mesh

Kind regards

Matt

Re: Sky Q with Virgin Broadband Query

Any VM hub can be put into modem mode, and you attach a router by its WAN port.
