When they came to install the broadband the engineer said if I have darkspots of wifi coverage I am entitled to up to 3 wifipods if the speed is under 30mb.
In my office I am only getting 12mbps and it keeps dropping work calls. I contacted customer services because I only want 1 but they want to charge me a further £8 a month.
I'm livid with the misinformation I have been told... thinking about cancelling Virgin now!

What subscription are you on?
Gig1 offers up to 3 free Wi-Fi pods, or in some cases lower speeds but on Volt, others you have to pay £8/month.

Hi chromacomic 👋
Thanks for confirming, and a warm welcome to the Forums.
I'm sorry to hear about the confusion caused during a visit from one of our team. As mentioned by Carl, the WiFi Pods fall under the "WiFi Max Guarantee", which has a set criteria for eligibility, and monthly cost.
If you do not have Gig1, Ultimate Oomph or a Volt service, then this guarantee would be at an additional cost per month, as per the WIFi Max page referenced in the previous post. Are you able to confirm your current speed, and whether you have an O2 SIM?
It is also on a non-contractual basis, meaning if you are not happy with the charge of this, then you can cancel it, and return the Pod(s) you have. If this is the case, it would be best to contact our team on 📞 0345 454 1111, so we can process this for you.
Thanks,
