SSID 2.4 resets on reboot

Hi, 

My 2.4 ghz channel resets randomly back to the default VMxxxxxx but my 5ghz stays as it should (my custom SSID) .   My ring doorbell won't connect to the 5 or the 2.4 channel.  I'm assuming it needs the 2.4 which doesn't seem to want to play ball,  it was working until about a week ago, upon checking I could see the VMxxxx ssid had appeared. 

Also when I signed upto the 1 gig broadband the salesman who knocked on, promised me the WiFi 6 router,  but then sent me this superhub 4,  which is anything but super. 

Any help would be appreciated.

Turn off smart/intelligent WiFi. 

By the way the VM hubs have not been called super hubs since the Hub2ac.

I disabled Smart Wi-Fi,  its under ADVANCED SETTINGS > WIRELESS > WIRELESS SIGNAL, if anyone is looking for it.

I will see how I get on.
