SH3 Ethernet connection

Hi all,

I have a SH3 that is in modem mode and connects to an ASUS router. All has been fine for 2 years but now wifi has dropped out. I placed my SH3 back to modem mode and Wifi works fine but the ethernet connections don't work. The lights are on with the ports on the hub, but there is no connection.

I rang VM and they sent a replacement hub, but I have the same issue with the new hub.

Is there a setting i am missing?

I'm confused - you said it's in modem mode, but you put it back into modem mode?

If a new Hub is in router mode and the ethernet connection isnt working then you need to try another device on the connection and if that doesnt work, change the cable.

Update - When in modem mode the router was saying no DHCP. So I reset the SH3 to be a router and connected all ethernet cables directly into SH3.

Everything worked fine for a few hours, all devices connected via ethernet worked fine. And now they are all not working.

The attached devices show as having a reserved IP address in the DHCP settings, however the devices are saying no DHCP?

Is this something my side or do i need to call VM?

Likely something wrong with your wired devices.

Or you have HomePlug - Network Via Mains?
