Re: SH 2 in Modem Mode: Unable to ping 3rd party Mail Server

Left the SH 2 in Router Mode for a few days, went through the change to Modem Mode process this morning it picked up a different IP using the same MAC address for my UDM router. I can now get to my mail server with no problems.

I'd like to know why my original IP address did not work. Are VM IP's getting blacklisted? We'll never know will we!

Thanks again Legacy1 for all your tips.

Re: SH 2 in Modem Mode: Unable to ping 3rd party Mail Server

Hello

The reason behind that would be that the IP address is being  blocked/blacklisted on the server side, you would need to contact the server company to find out why, the problem you may have is that if the IP address was blocked on the server due to that your external IP address was sending spam then you may get blocked again, so I would have a look at the log files as something very fishy going on, as IP blacklisting is only done for a reason.
