Having issues with our router dropping out constantly. It will drop the WiFi all the time and even the devices wired in drop out as if the router isn't there.
I've tried getting help through the online chat and that is dismal at best. The bot is useless and when I got through to someone they just said it is an intermittent problem that will cure itself. This has been ongoing for over a month. Not so intermittent....
Anyway the router has an orange light on constantly. Drops all connections wired and wireless, only way to reconnect is to reboot it.
I have completed multiple reboots, checked all the wires, factory reset and prayed to the Internet gods.
Thanks for your post and a big welcome to the Community. It's great having you on board with us.
I'm sorry to hear about the issues you have been having with your broadband. I'm happy to take a look in to things but I've been unable to locate your account via your forum credentials. I will need to confirm some information with you in order for me to proceed with checks.
I have sent you a private message regarding this and will investigate further once I receive your reply. Just click on the little plum envelope at the top right hand side of the page to access your inbox.
It looks as though there is a pro longed signal issue affecting you. Due to this we will need an engineer to come out to resolve this. I have booked you in for the next available appointment. We cannot confirm the appointment time slot, so to view this please sign in to My Virgin Media here: My VM
If the appointment is unsuitable or if anyone living at your property has tested positive for Coronavirus, has been asked to self-isolate or has flu-like symptoms then please reschedule the appointment on the same link.
Sorry for the massive delay in responding. We're still having these frequent issues with the router. With only a full reset clearing the issue. The engineer never visited in the end (I can't remember if we tried to re-arrange or they didn't show)
The fall out affects all wired and wireless devices still.
