Replacement SIM Card

Hi,

I need a new SIM card and it doesn't seem possible to order one online.  Handset keeps reporting no card inserted when one is.  Have had the handset checked over and the guy said it's the SIM that's faulty not the handset.  Am unable to make calls/send texts and have no landline to use as an alternative.  Please advise how to resolve.
