Remote IP address

Hi I have been a Virgin customer fo over 10 years and have always had a static remote IP address. Last week Virgin have done some work on there equipment which I received a message about and since they have done this work I no longer have a static remote IP address. I can’t speak to anyone on the phone regarding this which is not helpful at all. Can anyone help??? Cheers

Do you mean your public IP address?

Residential public IP’s are dynamic and whilst they largely remain the same there are times when they could change.

You only get a fixed/static IP address on a business package.
