Regarding cancer patient that can't speak

I messaging reguarding my dad. He's been with virgin for years. Due to the cancer and a stroke. I informed virgin media. To ask if possible for internet to be installed. All he had was basic tivo box and unlimited. His only form of communication is internet. So I rang reguarding him to get internet in. Before hand the bills were averaging £42 per month. That was just standard tivo and land line. So I rings virgin up. They quoted £37.99 per month. But he can't have his basic tivo. So now he is so confused. Why is it costing £37.99 per month for a phone he use ask he can't speak and just internet. It's a disgrace
