Red light on hub and slow slow broadband

Been going on for ages.  Super slow.  It says it needs more air circulation but I have it in the open.  I have left it off for a full day, and i have tried held down the reboot button for a long time, 2 mins.  Nothing has changed.

I have spent hours on hold to VM too.

Are you running in router mode or modem mode with your own router attached?

It is just set up as standard by a Virgin engineer
