Re: virgin media is blocking my website

Hi tompetty,

Thank you for reaching out to us in our community and welcome, sorry to hear your that you believe your website is being blocked by us,

I will be more than happy to look further into this for you, is it only Virgin Media users who have this issue, what happens when you try to access it, what message do you get.

If you go onto your online account and turn off Web Safe do you still have the same issue?

Regards

Paul.

tom,

Fairly common symptom, but without very basic DNS,hardware/software versions (and potential signal/power/network logs) tcp/wire shark dumps from several clients then  you’re relying on ESP from community…….  (My ESP module already disabled due to punitive termination releasing ‘naive/helpfull attempts to community)…..

Meantime your link works fine from my VMB connection:

Good luck……

Just for your information Symantec seem to flag your webpage up as well:

Re: virgin media is blocking my website

Hi all

my website is reporting this back to me and my users

Look out! Your Virgin Media Virus Safe settings have blocked this site

We think this site may be fraudulent or contain viruses that could be harmful to your computer, so it's been blocked by your account's Web Safe settings.

i dont want users turning off the websafe at all

ive also signed up to google console and added the html file to test the site

kinda stuck atm

thanks

Re: virgin media is blocking my website

Its likely looks at .xyz and VM DNS goes that don't look safe.

Re: virgin media is blocking my website

Web Safe is not blocking the .xyz TLD; as evident by being able to access Alphabet Inc, https://abc.xyz

Issue is likely consequence of security vendors finding fault with the site, for instance VirusTotal result:
2021-06-21-0.jpeg
and Virus Safe:
2021-06-21-1.jpeg
Try contacting each security vendor concerning (possible) false positive; be aware some may require a prolonged period of no further detections before acting.

If you are a Virgin Media customer report it here Report a website otherwise try emailing websafefeedback@virginmedia.co.uk
