Contracted 200mb via Hub 3; Recently been unable to get continuous speed across all devices
I have circa twenty devices on the home network of which four are connected to the hub by ethernet (Cat 6). The problem is that the WIFI speed drops off progressively over time usually after an hour of resetting the hub (all the devices will again achieve 200mb when reset). The WIFI on my Gaming PC (with a new TP-LINK - Archer TX3000E PCIe Wireless Card installed) is particularly frustrating as it will drop down to 60mb. It's positioned 2.5m from the hub with no obstructions and does recover to 200mb as soon as it is connected by ethernet. I have completed the normal checks to ensure all devices have the latest drivers.
The VM engineer could not resolve the problem during his visit this week. His device read full speed at the hub. Do I have too many devices on the network? Do I need to invest in a mesh system and use the hub as a modem? Alternatively will the Hub 4 improve the situation?
The Hub4 is worse. A mesh system and/or better router will do you better.
