Rain stops play

When it rains the broadband is flakey and intermittent.

 

Have noticed the brown omnibox on the outside wall of the ground floor flat is completely wrecked. 

Wires exposed to the elements. 

Could this be the cause of our woes?

As long as the cables are properly terminated and the F plugs tight there should be no water ingress even if they are exposed.

Thank you for reaching out to us in our community and welcome back, sorry to hear you are having a intermittent connection when raining, if the Omni box is broken and cables exposed although this may not be the reason it is best to get this repaired/ replaced.

Well a virgin media guy rocked up yesterday in the heat and replaced the box. 

Then last night and today in the rain and we've had no problems so far !

And I've been working solidly all day on zoom literally (a remote course) and then working late this evening at no losing the broadband. Fingers crossed this has solved it.
