Problems connecting

My daughter us trying to do her school work on her ipad and its very slow in connecting or not connecting at all. It says the WiFi security is weak and Says configure the router to WPA2 or WPA3. I am just a new customer

you can fix teh security warning by following the advice in this thread.. 

as for the poor connection - is she trying to work a long way from the router / does it improve if she sits nearer to it?

The reuter is downstairs she is upstairs.  As I said I am new to virgin and went with them because of the faster broadband.  I never had this problem with my old provider

Virgins speeds apply to wired speeds only, not wireless.
