Problems connecting smart bulbs and plugs to Hub 4

Hi all,

Switched to virgin yesterday and had our Hub 4 installed and set up.

I've started the long process of reconnecting our smart plugs and bulbs to the network but I'm struggling to get them connected!

I can't change the network name and password to the old one as there's not enough characters in the password for VM.

I have tried disabling the 5g  and only having the 2.4g enabled - no joy.

I have disabled automatic channel wotsit - no joy.

What else can I do?!!

Re: Problems connecting smart bulbs and plugs to Hub 4

Add a basic 2.4Ghz WiFi access point so all the smart hubs etc are not dependent on the WiFi settings / behaviours of the Hub 4.

Is that simple?  I'm fumbling here and don't have much knowledge about this sort of thing!

It is quite simple to add a basic WiFi access point like one of these  Amazon UK - TP-LINK APs

The other but a bit more complex option is to put the Hub 4 into Router mode and add your own WiFi Router.
