Problems after Relocating the Hub

An engineer came to the house and relocated the Hub to a bedroom. They used an existing cable on our building that is old but they tested and said it should work. But after they left and relocated the hub, The hub worked at first but now shows a Red Power LED. I tried resetting and restarting it but the Red LED persist. I am still getting internet but not as fast.

After checking the hub settings, it says Internet (Partial Service (US+DS))

Check for a local fault in your street on 0800 561 0061 it is an automated number.

There should be 24 Downstream Channels at least 4 Upstream Channels for a normal Hub 3 connection.

Hi n-glover,

Thank you for your post. I'm very sorry to hear about the issues you've been having.

I have taken a look on our side and it looks as though you have been able to speak with the team regarding this.

Do you require any further assistance?

^Martin

They came and fixed the issue and it worked well for a few weeks. But now I am getting on/off packet loss throughout the day. It might be an area issue as there has been scheduled matinence in my area for the past two weeks. So i thought I would ask on here to find out which one it is.

Hi there @n_glover

I'm so sorry to hear that you are experiencing these issues with your service and welcome back to the forums.

I've taken a look on our side and I cannot see anything that could be causing these issues.

Can you post your Hub status and logs? How to do this;
• Please go to http://192.168.0.1 (or http://192.168.100.1 - if in modem mode),
• Don't log in, click on 'router status'
• Copy/paste the data from each of the tabs as text into a 'REPLY' as opposed to 'QUICK REPLY'. Please do not include your MAC address.
Also, set up a 'Broadband Quality Monitor'. This will monitor the state of your connection and record any network dropouts etc
Give it a while to gather data and then click 'Share Live graph' and paste the 'Direct Link' into the forum

is the hub still showing one channel for downstream and upstream?

your BQM looks ok I suggest you use modem mode and get a better router with 1Gb ports

Your log shows that your modem is failing to maintain network lock, and when it reconnects it can't get all the channels it should be locking to. You need a tech to come round again with a replacement hub in case it's needed.

When I check 192.168.0.1 it sometimes says Partial Service(DS only) and in downstream and upstream there is more than one.
